| I used to go to CSL during summer with my parents and
brother years ago. Mum still goes to a friends caravan. She loves going
to the Sandfield club and playing bingo !! My daughter now 21 goes occasionally
too.Went back myself with my husband and new puppy in August - supposed
to stay a night at the Vine, ended up staying 4 days ! Very dog friendly
and to see the kids club they had set up at Benbow was really good. CSL
suits every age. Well I love CSL too! I started going on family holidays back in 1992
when I was 13 & went there every year till I was 18. The locals were
lovely.. especially the lads! haha! Anyone know Adie Paulson? He was well
fit! My last holiday there was July 1998 when I also took my 11 month
old son! We stayed at Robin Hood caravan park & also the Sandfield
site.. oh the memories.. I'd love to go back again sometime but i'm skint
with having 2 extra mouths to feed now! Hurray for CSL!! :D My Nan and Gan-Gan have a caravan in chappel st leonards me and my family
visit very often. I think chappel st leonards is a brillant place to get
away from busy Nottingham. When i go to Chappel st leonards im trusted
to walk to the co-op on my own i also feel very safe. I love the Chappel
Carnival, ive come 2nd in the sand building comp, and i love sitting on
the pavement watching all the floats go by. Ive made loads of new friends,
and one who i keep in touch with. I love chappel st leonards its a really
spiecal village that will stay alive with the buzz of people for many
years more. Thanks Hi I used to go to csl every year when I was a child , wot happend to
the boat wreck on the sands , and were are the bagleys the owners of the
ex maid marion club , were we all coulnt wait to get in to see kym ect Hi,Ive been coming to Chapel St Leonards for 25 years and still think
its a magical place to holiday. All my family love it and we return several
times a year. Why go abroad when Chapel has everything you could want especially
for kids?(apart from the occasional cloudy day!)No trip is complete without
a trip to Yabbas. We love it!!! Chapel st Leonards is a small friendly village. The carnivals are a great
idea and entertaining. I have been staying at chapel for 2 weeks every
year for the past five years! i love chapel. been going there for years now. and they are very dog
friendly people, which is very important to me and my husband. chapel st leonards is a great place because its quiet and peaceful. But
where we live on sunningdale close there is no where our children can
play because there has been bungalows built recently so its not fair. The
bungalows have been built on there play area is there any tips you can
give us? please write

and better. We have five children and they all love it!!! Hope to move
there soon see you all in aug 2006 Hi, I hope that you don't mind me Emailing you like this. I remember
fondly holidays at chapel St leonards. I am looking for a resident of
20years ago. Her name Christine Abbot My wife and I last visited CSL on4th March 2006..on a bright sunny but
COLD day. It's a great place to visit in the summer when the kids enjoy
the beach but it has it's own special charm in the winter too. We visit
several times a year ( driving the 60 miles from Newark)..and especially
enjoy visiting The Admiral Benbow on the sea front. ALWAYS a warm welcome
and a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by...the dog walkers..
and the intrepid people that insist paddling at the waters edge, even in
the nidst of winter ! Don't alter anything about the place at all. Hello! My name is Kelly Rankin and I grew up in Chapel. I thought I'd
look it up on the net as my Dad is currently back in the U.K to visit
family etc and so now more than ever I'm thinking of home! I live in Adelaide,
on the south coast of Australia so pretty far away, but I just wanted
to say that it was so lovely to read what everyone wrote about Chapel.
I have great memories from there and it makes me feel happy to be able
to know something about my home village!! Thank you. hiya, i love csl u can go there for a great family holidays. i have been

to do which caters for all ages- i go with all my family, aunties, uncles,
grandparents etc. and no one gets bored while we are there! Thanks for
the lovely holidays x hi there i am Kelly wallbanks i am 15. sorry if i have any spelling problems I think the web sight will be good with a page about robin hood and the big club, thankyou for your time love kel (Wed 07/12/2005) Hi, I have been going to CSL now for about 13 years, and it just keeps
getting better. All my family love it! There is everything you need from
a holiday there. The beach is beautiful, You can always find a quiet place.
We like lots of life at night time, and that is easy to find. You have
the best of both worlds there.Quiet.....or lots of life. The kids have
lots to do, and so do the older folk. i totally love Chapel St Leonards. It is a very good place. I've been
going there since i was 8 years old, i am now 16. I can't wait until next
summer because i am moving to Chapel with my boyfriend, who i met at Chapel.
I totally love it!! best guinness in chapel at the WHITE HOUSE. best tea n toasted teacakes
at the CHAPEL POINT cafe. we love it there so much we are planning on
relocating our business there next year, so keep your eyes open for the
new tattooist opening ;o) My family & I have just recently returned from a week’s holiday
staying at the Goodwin Touring Park in our new caravan. It was one of
the best holidays we have had as a family. Used to go with my family to Chapel St. Leonards in the sixties. We had
a chalet at Kings Chalet Park. Many happy memories. Hello. I am moving to Lincolnshire later in the year, to join my fiance
who lives in Lincoln. We're waiting for our new house to complete. hi there, i recently attended a service of baptism(14/08/05) in a little
church in your village.it was a rather uplifting and unusual service.as
i was not a member of the family,i did not know of which denomination
the church was.could you shed any light on this please? The success of Chapel is due to the family owned sites and businesses
who have worked very hard to put it where it is today. Like the website, you
deserve all your support. Trunch Lane of old, camping at Seabank Farm along the dunes before the
sea wall was built, the nissen hut cinema on the Griftville site ran by
Mr Flood,Pete the singing postman who ran one of the old round bingo stalls. I went to CSL a couple of times back in 1987. The first time was with
my friend and his Mum and Dad. We passed the time sneaking the odd pint
in the pubs and appraising the local talent in the Slots. hello there i have been coming to chapel for years, i have enjoyed every
day of every trip i have had and really enjoy the place. I have even been
in the middle of winter and it still seems a lovely place and a for the
most part lovely people. Brilliant is all We can say about chapel, it just keeps getting better.
We started off hiring a caravan on trunch lane but fell in love with the
place so much so we bought our own. the marina restaurant is superb well
worth a visit one of the best places i have been in a long time much better than other
surronding places see you again soon. hi there , once again we have just returned from chapel st leonards,
where we have had amost enjoyable holiday, the people of chapel st leonards
are so dog friendly, we would not go on holiday without our dog. and every
one makes you feel so welcome, hi, i use to spend all my child hood holidays at CSL, i havent been for
almost 7 years now and hear so mucgh has changed, it was a great, fun,
beautiful and adventurous place to be so this summer me and my fiance
are coming back to check it out now =) Can i just say how much me and my family enjoy coming to Chapel-st-leonards.Can
anyone let me know if there is any information about Cycle paths in and
around Chapel, we have a very young grandson and we like to take him with
us cycling we have a seat for him on our cycles, trouble is ,as you are
not allowed to cycle on the Promenade, and the traffic on the roads are
a we bit dangerous, we wondered if there was any cycle paths so we can
keep on taking him cycling with us, so can anyone help. Also does anyone
know of anyone selling a beach chalet down at the Point. I have been going to Chapel St Leonards now every year in August since
1985 and I can't imagine going anywhere else! It's the only place I want
to enjoy my holidays! A fantastic place surrounded by things like Fantasy
Island and also Skegness which is only a short drive away! As for Chapel
itself?....FANTASTIC! To answer the question on The Neptune pub, I heard
that it was going to be a fun pub, but I think that it should be rebuilt
(just like the Fun Spot arcade was) as it won't be the same without it!
For the majority of my 20 years going to Chapel, every night was spent
in The Neptune! I have a picture hanging on my bedroom wall when it was
known as "The Benvenute Hotel", it's not a real picture, it's
a drawing but expertly done! Now we spend our nights in The Arches pub
opposite which is a smashing little pub to go in and always a friendly
atmosphere! Well, that's all I'm putting because I could go on forever!
In a nutshell CHAPEL ST LEONARDS IS TOTALLY FANTASTIC AND A PLEASURE TO
GO EVERY YEAR! Looking Forward to August as I type! i first came to chapel with my family when i was little, and when i got
in my twenties i met my partner Dave, and i started coming here with him
and his family, we've just had a baby girl Katie and we cant wait to take
her for her first holiday, and share our happy memories with her, roll
on end of July!! hi just to let everyone no the neptune pub on trunch lane is opening
this thursday! it will be great fun friday night, open till 2! come and
join the fun! ps new barman boot is taken. so keep off!lauren likes brooksy!
x t fun. Chapel is fantasic keep it up :D:D:D:D Fantastic to discover this site & great to see so many positive comments
about the place. I visited CSL from 1959 to 1974 most weekends in the
summer & made many friends during this time. I remember getting kicked
out of Millers & Watsons Amusements on a regular basis for tilting
the Cakewalks & playing football incessantly on the pitch where the
Village Hall has now been built. I am nearly 50 now & I have to admit
that finding this site brought tears to my eyes. I am 19 years of age and used to live in chapel in a bungalow on the
neptune caravan park ... i now come there at least once a year for a fortnights
holiday, you cant beat it, its my favourite place on earth. Its great
when you go to the pub and call in ginghams on the way home lol ... is
the neptune pub really being built since it got burned down?? Hi, I would just like to say that until last year i had never ever stayed
at chaple and have only stayed either in Ingoldmells or Skegness. Ive been coming to chapel for over 2 years now and i think its the best
holiday place to go to along the east coast. The atmosphere in chapel
st leonards is very warm and friendly. The people their are very nice
and very helpful. The best place to go for a relaxing drink is the beachbar.
The staff there are very friendly and always show a warm welcome. The
best b&b there is seayr hotel. The breakfasts are lovely. There is
plenty to do for the young to the old at heart. No matter what the weather
its always a great place to go. I have stayed there on holiday and its brilliant. I would just like to
say the Robin Hood Holiday Park is the best!!!!!!!!!! Hi my names jo i think chaple-st-leonards is very nice my husband is
now thirty nine and has been going there all is life. Since we wed iv'e
also enjoyed going there as well and now with our two children 16, and
13 years of age and they also love it. We now go there about five times
a year for the weekends twice in a caravan and three time in a tent as
there is now a brillant camp site on trunch lane. The best pubs we think
are bell bank, archers, jt's and the neptune when it's rebuilt this year
2005. The best place in town for fish and chips is ginghams by far. what's the name of the lad that works in Green's amusment's? :P:P I have been coming to chapel for 27 years, since i was born. It is a
magical place and love it to bits !! i have recently had a little girl
with my partner and hopefull she will enjoy it as much as i and the rest
of my family have over the years. Hi just been reading your website with peoples stories found them very interesting, I have been comming to chapel st.leonards since i was 15 years old (then with my parents - now deceased) but i still come every year now with my wife we are now 65 years old and still enjoy it there, I still have a 1 week club membership ticket for the "Happy Days Club" which my mum and dad bought for "one and sixpence" when i was 15...we will be comming again in july, as we hire a caravan on the golden anchor site.Best regards ..Mr & Mrs Thomas. / Coventry. (Sat 23/04/2005) i first went to chapel when i was 19 years of age and fell in love with the place, i am now 50 and try and go twice a year, last year it was very quite sombody said it was because the robin hood site had stopped the touring caravans or maybe people were lost looking for the maid marion club lol.keith butler from west midlands (Wednesday, April 13) We have been coming to Chapel for nearly 20
years. We have just bought a caravan there. We love it. elo ppl! Ive bin cumin 2 chapel since i was a lil kid, and i love it

is very upset about the name change of MAIDMARION CLUB.he says it has
been maidmarion since he was a child.could you PLEASE tell us why they
have changed it. THANKYOU. i think the best thing in Chapel St Leonards is the Millers Arcade its
fun, exciting and never gets boring!!! its great except one of its best
staff and my boyfriend got sacked because he was doing his job, which
is talking and being nice to people and i don't think its fair do you?
i think millers arcade is great!!!! even though one of its best staff
has been sacked boo!!!! I think chapel is great!!! i have lived there all my life and i never
get bored!!! We spent our first holiday in Chapel St. Leonards in June this year at
the Robin Hood Leisure. We travelled to a few places around the area and
have to say that Chapel St. Leonards even though small is ideal. Close
to the sea, friendly locals, very clean, a good choice of shops and restaurants/cafes.
In fact we enjoyed it so much that when we arrived home we immediately
booked another weeks holiday and will be arriving on September 18th this
year. Thank you I have alway's been on holiday to chapel st. leonards since I was young. we are coming to chapel for a few days, are dogs allowed on the beach
??? hope to hear from you soon As a young lad my parents always stayed at the robin hood camp. I have very good memories of the place.I even met my first girlfriend there.I was nine she was fourteen. Now i am 31 and i hope to introduce my new son to the excitement of chapel when he is old enough. Last year when i got married my wife was pregnant so we couldnt go abroad. But we had the most fantastic time at chapel and we were planning to come back this year to spend our first anniversary but unfortunately there are many more people than me that have fond memories of this magical place, and everywhere is fully booked. These days its hard to find a place that has everything. A place where you can forget all your troubles and feel the minute you hit that bend in the road that you are amongst friends and that you never want to leave again even before you start the holiday. I'm just sorry that i didnt book earlier, but i have my memories. Thankyou. (Wed 21/07/2004) my wife and i recently visited the robin hood leisure complex we took
our two dogs and stayed in my aunts caravan. we have not had an holiday
since being married[wont put dogs in kennels] and what a fantasic week
we had the people were friendly, weather great ,club tropicana amazing
,and so dog friendly. Hopefully we will return in about three weeks time
a great time had by all highly recomended missing the place already. do they take touring caravans at robin hoods camp site? Hi I recently emailed you to tell that your Website is really good and
that me and my family love chapel st leonards and come every year. Well
I also asked why Sharkys wasn't included, I must apologise as I didn't
realise Sharkys is part of Millers Amusements. Regards, Your Website is brilliant. Me and my family come to Chapel St Leonards
every year and we always have a wonderful time. I think Sharkys should
be included in your website as it is somewhere we go the kids love it
and we get to have a drink while they play on the equipment. yours faithfully, I think st leonards is the best place i've ever been to because i love
robin hood leisure and club tropicana and i think it is the most friendly
place it is allot of fun with the arcades and restaurants beaches and
other things for the whole family plus it's near fantasy island in ingoldmells
and near skegness and mble thorpe I think club tropicana is the best club
in the WORLD it is the best family entertainment place I've been in so
I think Chapel St Leonards is fun for all the FAMILY Why is there no bus to Anderby Creek? Chapel is a lovely place to go on holiday, i've been going there all
my life and i keep wanting to go back for more. Its a perfect place for
my disabled mother, its on the flat, its quiet and most place's are wheelchair
friendly. And you just can't beat a little stroll along the beach has
the sun goes down... just lovely. Hello i have been coming to chapel now for 16 years, every year is as
good as the last. When i was about 4 i lived there for a couple of years
and that's why i love it so much. This site is very good indeed but there
is no information on it about trunch lane, and for me that's where everything
is in chapel. You've got yabas warehouse all the arcades etc. If you added
something about those sort of things then the site would be fantastic. Hello i have been visiting chapel for over 50 years now. When walking
home from the pub i always stop and get a cone of chips with some mushy
peas. A trip around yaba daba doo's is highly recommended for it has some
of the best bargains around. Hi my name is Leanne and i'm 15 i've been coming to chapel ever since
i can remember it a wonderful place during the summer and i absolutely
love it!!!! the beach is nice and peaceful and the whole village is kept
lovely all year round. i just wont to say keep up the good work and see
you soon!!! Visited Chapel for the first time at the wkend and was very unimpressed.
It's full of arcades, caravan parks and not much else. I found the public
toilets on the green to be disgusting. The only good thing about Chapel
St Leonards is the St Leonards Family Restaurant. The food was absolutely
lovely and the staff really friendly. I always go Chapel St. Leonards for the day when i am over Mablethorpe
as i have a caravan there. I think Chapel St. Leonards is a very very
nice place. It's more peace full then Mablethorpe. The beach is nice here
and so are the people. I can not say a bad thing about Chapel St. Leonards. I have been coming to Chapel St Leonards all my life. My grandmother
had caravans on the Benvenutte years ago and they were handed down to
my mother. Me and my husband come as many times as possible and each year
we spend more time there. Its so relaxing and i always so i am home there.
I don't think anything should be changed and was upset by the change of
name on the Maid Marion Club. Everyone knows the Maid Marion Club from
years ago. Come on change it back and call your new pub the Merry Men
as i am sure there will be plenty! After yet another holiday there i still love it and keep coming back
for more!! i just love the village and am one day hoping to live there.
I love the whole thing mornings walking along the beach everybody gives
you a friendly "hello" it's just wonderful. I'm going to keep
coming back!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!! Hi it is kelly. I suggestion that you put a page on robin hood leisure
park because it is so cool up there. thank you. Hi i am kelly wallbanks and i am 13 years old, and i wood like to say
congratulations on a fantastic website. I have been coming to chapel for
6 years. Chapel is cool i wood like to live there some day. It is good
i like robin hood. Every year my nanna and grandad take us, there go for
2 weeks and we come on the 2nd week. We wood go with our mum but she has
13 cats and 7 dogs to look after so there take us and spent the day with
me and my big bro. We go and stay in the nelson villa caravan park and
we stay in a caravan with belongs to duggie gilford. Thank you for letting
me tell you how call chapel is love Hiya, I have been coming to Chapel St Leonards since I was 5 years old.
I think it is the nicest place in England to visit, the people are friendly,
the weather is always nice, whenever I go to Chapel St. Leonards I am
very happy and would one day like to live there. having been the proud owner of a caravan at chapel for the last 12 yrs
or more please please please think about putting lights along the promenade
as far as happy days hello, I have been trying to find out if the neptune pub has been rebuilt
on trunch lane yet, or if they are going to rebuild it yet. I am opening
my van next week and cant wait to find out when i get down there, Please
if you know anything will you let me know. Thank you It's many years since I've been to Chapel; an aunt used to live there
near the Vicarage and had a van on Tomlinson's site. I spent many a long
summer there and seeing your site and views has brought back many memories
- such as the Crazy Golf that used to be on the Village Green. Please would the caravan sites advertise on the web for holiday hires,
so I can bring my family to this lovely village, we love it. hi,its nice to see Chapel getting ready for a new season, another new
pub at the Maid extention to the pub on the corner, smugs, white house
and garage all as drab from the outside. will anyone get the Grange Back
to its forner glory Hi., we have been coming to Chapel for holidays and days out for over
25 years, initially with our daughter who was then a toddler, latterly
the two of us. Hi. I have been coming to chapel st leonards since 1974, and believe it or not have been every year since. I cant get enough of the place. My parents are the same, and like it so much that they bought a chalet on Kings 4 years ago. Now I am over there every few weeks, usually with my son, who is 4. The people are fantastic and the atmosphere is great. And finally, I think the website is fantastic...WELL DONE! mark...Ripley Derbyshire. (2003 August 20) We spent one day at chapel, booking a week next year, what a nice friendly
place . Hello there, Very much enjoyed the website of the village of
my birth. My Grandfather had Stow's stores for many years and I
grew up on Sandy Lane. We had a reunion this week in Nova Scotia of the
36 members of the family of Captain Jack and Maisie Stow who left Chapel
in 1952 and came to Canada in 1958. Hi There! Hi I saw your site and I just had to drop you a line. Hi, My name is Luke and I just want to say how much fun i had at Chapel St .leonards and it was fantastic even though i was only there for 1 Day (2003 January 07) I've been going to chapel st leonards for over 25 years to caravan site
on trunch lane called Happy days carapark. Do u know any websites (or does anyone have any photos) that's got old
pictures of trunch lane, chapel st leonards from about 1977 to 1985 at
all ? as I love to see what it was like then as i can remember it from
a kid and like to see it again to see how much its changed. Thanks, |
