Tuesday Club Auction: 2009 October

The Tuesday Club held it’s auction recently and raised £217.22p for the Air Ambulance. Under the watchful eye of the auctioneer Mr Stan Bruce, the village hall was alive with laughter and frantic bidding for certain items. Mr Bruce when describing a crockery drainer, tongue in cheek, announced yet another toast rack, which brought laughter all round. Mr Bruce one liners and jokes made a brilliant atmosphere and everyone enjoyed the event which was evident in the amount raised. Mr Gordon Young Chairman of the Tuesday Club asked members if they wanted the total amount raised to go to the Air Ambulance which was given a resounding “Yes” by all.

Chairman of Chapel St Leonards Parish Council Councillor Mr Michael Goodman was there to contribute a couple of CD players for the auction on behalf of the Parish Council and he also joined Mr Gordon Young in presenting the cheque to Mr John Turner from the Air Ambulance.
