| Simpson Court |
The
Chairman Councillor Hazel Newcombe together with Councillor Chris Lewry
met with Mrs Betty Simpson and her son Richard to cut the ribbon on the
Simpson Court sign in Chapel St Leonards.Simpson Court was named in memory of Betty's late husband Gordon Simpson. Mr Simpson was a well known gentleman of the village, being a former Parish Councillor in which he was the Vice Chairman and Responsible Finance Officer. He was probably well known for his involvement in the village Carnival over many years. Chairman Cllr Newcombe said it was a lasting tribute to a popular man who had made the village his home for many years and it ensured his memory lived on. |
