On Saturday 11th December the crowds gathered on the Village Green at 5.00pm for the switch on. Afterwards there was an illuminated procession to the village hall, where tea, coffee and mince pies, were served. Songs from Chapel St Leonards School Choir and Laura entertained the people.

Cllr Newcombe said “ It has been hard work for a few people working for the benefit of all the village and when the lights are switched on. We know it will have been worthwhile.
